Client Experience Training at Crawford Schools
During the recent recess period, we facilitated a comprehensive Client Experience Training for all security, cleaning, and maintenance personnel across Crawford schools. This training is designed to enhance how we interact with our visitors, ensuring every guest on campus receives exceptional service.
Our goal is to have all client-facing staff embody the Crawford DNA, creating a consistently positive and welcoming experience. By focusing on these core values, we aim to reflect our commitment to excellence and care, making every visitor feel valued and supported throughout their time with us.
Pre-Primary and Preparatory
Pre-Primary Voting Day
With election fever in the air in South Africa, Crawford International North Coast Pre-Primary held elections of their own, creating much excitement around the campus about which Big 5 animal would win! The elephant promised new toys, the lion extra playtime, the buffalo a dance party, the leopard a "sit next to your friend" day, and the rhino free ice lollies. Students received their ID cards and eagerly lined up to cast their votes, placing them into the ballot box. The fun activity helped teach the children important values such as democracy, fairness, and the importance of participation.
Students Shine at Chess trials
Six talented chess players from Crawford International North Coast Preparatory School showcased their skills at the Durban and Districts Chess Trials held at the beginning of June. The event, which attracted around 200 competitors from various primary schools, was a SA Chess-rated tournament, offering participants the chance to earn official rankings.
Among the Crawford players were Prathana Madhoo, Vrishti Singh, Hayden Jenkinson, Snehin Shravan Kumar, Dale Chad Chapman, and Aaradhya Singh, all in Grade 5. Throughout the day, they competed with determination, demonstrating their strategic prowess against opponents from other regional schools. Special recognition goes to Snehin Shravan Kumar, who achieved 3rd place in his division, earning him a certificate, a D&D badge, and a cash prize—a proud moment for him and the North Coast community. The event provided significant experience for all participants, fostering their chess abilities, and offering valuable competitive exposure. Congratulations to all for their hard work and dedication!
Father’s Day
The Crawford International North Coast community spoilt the special men in their lives, ahead of Father’s Day recently. The school hosted a fun sunrise social event on the beautiful Westbrook beach for the Pre-Primary and Preparatory children and their dads, while the College dads gathered together to enjoy a lovely breakfast and a talk by inspirational father of three and businessman Barry Chapman.
College
Honours Blazer Ceremony
Crawford International North Coast Campus Head Samantha Smit was delighted to meet with six of the school’s high achieving current students, all of whom have met criteria to wear the prestigious Honours blazer. The top award along with the much-coveted blazer is presented to students who have achieved Honours in three out of four categories: Academics, Culture, Sport, or Service.
The school is busy undertaking a series of in-depth interviews with each of the current recipients to showcase their individual achievements and passions, hints. and tips for younger students who they inspire, as well as to understand their first memory of seeing the Honours blazer as child and how that memory helped motivate them to work towards their goals.
