Our innovative and student-focused methodology is central to our teaching and learning, where the academic philosophy of THINK, UNDERSTAND and APPLY is the foundation. Future-focused skills are developed throughout each student’s learning journey.
Emphasis is placed on gross and fine motor, perceptual, cognitive, language and numeracy development. Thinking skills are honed, and students are encouraged to explore a variety of options when problem-solving to discover a workable solution. Through thinking routines, we teach our students to question and form opinions, which are expressed through:
Our holistic approach to education encourages our students to become fully rounded, unique individuals through a personalised learning journey.
Physical : Challenging outdoor experiences to enhance large muscle development, which is vital for future learning.
Social & Emotional : Our dedicated staff create a safe, nurturing environment where each student can develop confidence and social skills.
Intellectual : We follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Our students explore the three learning areas of Mathematics, Literacy and Unit of Inquiry. Units of learning and the related conversations encourage our students to evolve as inquirers, both within and beyond the classroom.
Creative : We celebrate the Arts through dance, drama, art, and music and consider them instrumental in building self-esteem and allowing students to express themselves.
We tap into our students’ unique abilities and talents, relying on their natural sense of curiosity and provoking their thinking through meaningful play opportunities and inquiry-based learning. Our students are encouraged to explore, discover, and experiment.
We motivate our students to pursue new interests by offering a variety of opportunities within and beyond the classroom. Qualified coaches help our growing students develop core physical skills, which are vital to enhancing future learning. Gross motor movement, dance, art and music are incorporated into our school programme.
We offer the Sporty Tots programme to all our pre-primary students as part of their physical development. The programme runs throughout the year and each class attends on a weekly basis. Sporty Tots uses fun activities to develop large and small muscle groups, improve coordination and strengthen the core.
