A 30th Birthday Picnic for the Sandton Campus
On August 8th, the chilly air warmed up with the joyful presence of numerous Crawford families and friends who gathered to commemorate our 30th birthday.
With a lineup of talent, including DJ Dino Bravo, Thee Jam, Brent Harris from Just Jinjer, Boki Ntsime semi-finalist on Idols, Nic Rush of Watershed, Sofaya Nkosi, a world class vocalist and our gifted Crawford students, the atmosphere brimmed with sensational tunes. Students, teachers, and parents danced away the evening, creating an electric energy. The Grade 9 entrepreneurs added a dash of excitement with their vibrant stalls, while the tantalising aromas from food trucks delighted everyone. A standout moment was when Ms Purkiss cut the birthday cake, accompanied by a jubilant rendition of "Happy Birthday" led by Tulla Eckhart.
Heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers, enthusiastic students, Crawford families, and friends for crafting an unforgettable celebration!
A Spectacular MADDD Evening
On the 3rd of August, our school hosted a spectacular MADDD evening! It was an event that brought together the best of Music, Art, Drama, Dance, and Design. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students, parents, and teachers gathered to witness the incredible talents of our school's creative community.
The Art and Design displays were nothing short of breathtaking, showcasing the remarkable artistic abilities of our students. The drama performances left the audience captivated, as the actors delivered compelling and emotionally charged pieces. The music segment was a true highlight, with soul-stirring singing and mesmerising piano performances that left everyone in awe. The dance segment was equally impressive, as graceful ballet pieces were beautifully executed by our talented dancers.
Overall, the MADDD evening was a resounding success, celebrating the arts and fostering a sense of pride in our school's creative achievements.

Bedtime Tales
Once upon a time, at Crawford International Sandton Pre-primary, the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow across the school. As the day turned into evening, the teachers and students gathered around a crackling “bonfire”, ready to share stories. We shared tales of adventure, mystery and laughter, creating an enchanting atmosphere that brought the community closer together.
Character Day is a highly anticipated day at Crawford International Sandton Pre-primary & Preparatory. From Dr Seuss to Harry Potter, children enjoyed having the opportunity to step into the shoes of their favourite fictional characters. The day encouraged creativity and imagination and fostered a sense of unity.
Christmas in July
On the 25th of July we celebrated Christmas in July. The children dressed up in festive gear and enjoyed a cheerful day at school. Christmas in July is a playful and imaginative celebration that allows people to experience the joy of the holiday season at an unexpected time of year.
Inter-House Athletics and Grade 0 Fun Run
What an amazing day! Every minute of the morning was filled with enthusiastic cheer from the grandstands and nervous energy as athletes took to the start line; each minute was filled with 100% effort and focus on the finish line; and each minute was filled with camaraderie and competitive edge.
It has become customary for our Grade 0 children to join in on the fun and run a 60m sprint during the programme of events. Whether they won or not, we witnessed sportsmanship, friendship, support, and kindness amongst our children. We can't wait to see these super stars run for 'real' in their Sports Houses next year!
