Grade 00 Spreading Kindness, One Sandwich at a Time!
As part of their Taking Action project, our Grade 00 students showed their appreciation for the school’s support staff by making delicious sandwiches. This heartwarming activity was filled with excitement, cheer, and valuable life lessons, practicing good hygiene, learning about measurement, and, of course, mastering the art of sandwich-making.
Grade 000 Owls Class Challenge
Our young engineers in the Owls class took on an exciting challenge of, “can you build a bridge across the river for people to walk across?”
With curiosity and creativity, they explored different materials, tested their ideas, and worked together to design sturdy structures. It was a wonderful display of problem-solving, teamwork, and early engineering skills in action.
PREPARATORY
Stallion Cup Tournament
The Crawford Knights participated in the Stallion Cup Minecraft tournament on Saturday, 8 March. Our team tackled 3 rounds of a speed run, racing to complete the map in the fastest time. While we made it through the speed run, we unfortunately didn’t make it to the semi-finals. Still, the students demonstrated great teamwork and communication skills throughout the event.
Grade 1’s Wiggly Welcome to "Sharing the Planet"
Our new Unit of Inquiry, Sharing the Planet, kicked off with an exciting surprise, our Grade 1s walked into a classroom filled with SOIL and WIGGLY PINK WORMS! their faces were a mix of curiosity, excitement, and just a tiny bit of "Eww!"
Throughout this unit, our young explorers will become Knowledgeable, Thinkers, and Communicators as they dig deep (literally!) to learn about living and non-living organisms, discover what else calls soil its home, and uncover why these tiny creatures are so important to our planet.
A Fun-Filled Last Day of School
On the last day of school, our teachers took a trip down memory lane by dressing up in school uniforms, while our students enjoyed the day in their favourite civvies. Laughter, joy, and school spirit filled the air as we celebrated a successful term together. A big thank you to our staff and students for making it such a memorable day.
