25-YEAR CAMPUS CELEBRATION
On Saturday, 4th of May, the Crawford La Lucia community gathered to celebrate the school's Silver Jubilee under warm and sunny skies. Families, vendors, and the broader community joined in the festivities to mark this significant milestone.
The day was filled with joy as attendees enjoyed a variety of activities. There were games, delicious food, and vibrant market stalls. The sounds of laughter and music filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere that delighted everyone present.
A special moment of the celebration was a short ceremony reflecting on the history of our prestigious school. When Crawford La Lucia opened its doors in January 1999, the campus was a vast expanse of red sand and sugarcane, with not a tree in sight. The initial student body and staff were small but enthusiastic about the new era they were ushering in. Today, our campus has evolved beautifully. From those humble beginnings, we now boast a three-phase school set on a picturesque landscape featuring two conservancies and stunning ocean views. Our growth extends beyond infrastructure; we have grown as a community of students, parents, and staff, united in our commitment to excellence in private co-education in KZN.
Another dear segment of the ceremony was honouring the staff members who have been with our school since its inception, contributing 25 years of dedication and instilling lasting values. Well wishes and gratitude was expressed to the ten founding staff members (two of whom are not featured in the photo collection) for the contribution they have made in school’s community.
And yes, no celebration is complete without an official cake cutting.
Thanks to everyone who shared in our 25th year celebration.
